199 was re-commissioned as a working vessel in 2001 after a period of 10 years as a static display in Portsmouth Dockyard making her first public appearance in steam at the International Festival of the Sea in Portsmouth in August 2001. She has since been on show at the Yarmouth Old Gaffers Regatta, the Chichester Harbour Workboat Rally at Itchenor, Explosion Museum at Priddy’s Hard, a Military Powerboat Rally at Gunwharf Marina, the Classic Boat Museum at Newport I.o.W. and at the Southampton Boat Show up to 2010.

Additionally, she has made trips around Portsmouth Harbour with interested maritime groups whose members wanted to experience steam propulsion at first hand as well as guests of the National Maritime Museum and retiring senior naval officers.
